ST. LOUIS – GiftAMeal, an app founded by Andrew Glantz, has provided nearly 2.5 million meals to those in need across 44 states since its inception in 2015.
Developed while Glantz was a student at Washington University, the app partners with over 150 food banks and thousands of restaurants to facilitate donations. Users simply take a photo at participating restaurants, and GiftAMeal donates to a local food bank.
“With GiftAMeal, it’s free and easy to give back by supporting local restaurants,” said Andrew Glantz, founder of GiftAMeal. “All you need to do is snap a photo of your food, drink, or even a selfie at one of our partner restaurants through the free GiftAMeal app, and then we make a local donation to a local food bank near that store to help provide a meal to someone in need in your community.”
