Event Flow:
1:00pm-1:30pm (Native Garden Design Presentation in Havana Room)
1:30pm-3:00pm (Plant installations on the Chouteau Brickline Greenway)
Laura Arthur leads the final installment of the Cortex Native Seed series teaching attendees how to design a native garden and install the native seedlings. Gabriela Baeza-Stout will be co-leading the workshop and talking about her work in spreading awareness on the benefits of native plants to the Hispanic community.
Weather permitting, the workshop will take place outside on the Chouteau Brickline Greenway at the intersection of Innovation Plaza just east of the Cortex Metrolink Plaza. The installation will include seedlings grown from the overwintering workshop along with seedlings from Gaby's Spanish workshops on native seeds.
The combined installation will be a demonstration garden showcasing collaboration and cross pollination in the Cortex District.
